Valley View ISD, covering 10 sq. miles, serves approx. 4,366 students from the cities of Hidalgo, McAllen and Pharr.

Campuses include: four elementary schools (grades PK-4); one 5th grade campus; one junior high school (grades 6 -7) ; one early college school (grades 8-9); and one high school (grades 10 -12).

The communities, located in the South Texas area called the Rio Grande Valley, are an unusual mixture. Their proximity to the border and beach has influenced the culture in the area.
